1. Who to contact

Item Twin operates this corporate website and handles enquiries about its textile digital product passport platform and pilot programme. For questions about personal information or this notice, email [email protected].

2. Contact form and enquiries

The contact form asks for your name, company, work email, topic and message. When you submit it, these details are sent to our server and delivered through Resend to our Google Workspace mailbox. Our team uses them to respond to your enquiry.

The form service does not save your message to a separate database or browser storage, or write message content to application logs. IP addresses and request counts are held briefly in server memory to limit abuse. Email services and our mailbox may retain your message.

Please include only information relevant to your enquiry. Avoid sending sensitive personal details or confidential supplier documents in an initial message. Asking about the free pilot does not create a platform account or complete an enrolment automatically.

3. Website and technical data

Hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages and request times to deliver the site and protect it against misuse.

The website itself does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Fonts, images and the film are served with the site; the film loads when you choose to play it. The hosting or access-control service may use cookies needed for security or access, including on the private preview. This is not a claim that every hosting layer is cookie-free.

Product screens, supplier names and passport data shown here are examples. Changing an example switch does not change a real customer record. Links to official sources and other websites take you to services with their own privacy notices.

4. Why information is used

  • Responding to enquiries: to answer product, pilot and support questions and take steps you request before a possible business relationship.
  • Operating the website: to deliver content, investigate faults and protect the site and its visitors.
  • Handling privacy or legal requests: to respond to requests and meet obligations that apply to us.

Where the GDPR applies, these activities may rely on steps requested before entering a contract, legitimate interests in business communication and secure website operation, or a legal obligation, depending on the activity. Where consent is required for a separate activity, it must be obtained for that activity. Sending an enquiry is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing.

5. Service providers and international processing

The website is hosted on Hetzner, with Cloudflare providing connectivity and security. Resend delivers form messages, and Google Workspace handles our team mailbox and correspondence.

People handling your enquiry and the hosting, security and email services involved in delivering the website or correspondence may process the relevant information. Public authorities or professional advisers may receive information where necessary for a legal obligation or legal matter.

These services can involve processing in more than one country. Contact [email protected] for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry. This website does not publish your enquiry or turn it into a public product passport.

6. How long information is kept

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer the request, manage the resulting business discussion and address applicable legal or record-keeping needs. Relevant factors include whether a discussion is ongoing, whether it becomes a customer relationship and whether a legal matter requires records to be retained. Technical-log retention depends on the hosting and security service involved.

You can ask about the retention of a specific message or request its deletion. Records that must be kept for an applicable legal obligation may be retained despite a deletion request.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, including the GDPR or Türkiye’s personal data protection law, you may have rights to obtain information about processing, access or correct your data, request deletion, object to or restrict processing, receive portable data, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. These rights are subject to their legal conditions.

Send requests to [email protected]. We may need sufficient information to verify and locate the request. You may also raise a concern with the competent data protection authority. See the European Commission’s information for individuals or Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Authority.

8. Changes to this notice

If website functionality or the way enquiries are handled changes, this notice will be updated. Check the date at the top for the latest version.
